Miss Ford taught P.E. during the war years and although she never returned to Wolverhampton to visit the school she was always keen to hear news of achievements and progress made by past pupils and to hear how the school performed in both academic and sporting activities.

While teaching at WGHS she lived locally in Rupert Street, lodging with Miss Strayne. After she left the school she moved to Oxford, married and became Mrs. Trischer. She had two children and leaves a sister who lives in Coventry.
